To celebrate the total solar eclipse on March 20th, we were discussing holding an informal observing session to view the eclipse. Up to 80% of the sun will be blocked and we thought this is something which we could view as a group.
If anyone is interested, Dad and I will be going up to RAF Harrowbeer, Yelverton, for some observing and breakfast. If people bring their own bacon etc we will cook it on our BBQ and then maybe set up some telescopes for some imaging and solar projection.
We will probably be there about 07:00 to make sure we are there for the beginning. Totality is around 09:36 and ends around 10:41.
